Haier Group successfully finalized its strategic investment in Shanghai RAAS Blood Products Co., Ltd. on June 18, marking a significant milestone in Haier Group's journey within the healthcare industry. With this investment, Shanghai RAAS officially becomes an integral part of Haier Group's healthcare ecosystem under the brand Incaier.
Established in 1988 and publicly listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange since 2008, Shanghai RAAS stands as a prominent blood products provider in China. It is renowned for its ability to extract six components from plasma and is a leading producer of blood coagulation factor products in the domestic market.
As previously communicated, through Haiyingkang (Qingdao) Medical Technology Co., Ltd., Haier Group completed the acquisition of a 20% stake in Shanghai RAAS from global healthcare company Grifols for RMB 12.5 billion. Following this transaction, Haiyingkang will hold a total voting rights share of 26.58%, making Haier Group the actual controlling entity post-reorganization of Shanghai RAAS’s board.
